Subject: MM#009 Default HESSI Target Date: Sun, 17 Aug 2014 13:39:11 +0100 Dear RHESSI Collaborators, The level of solar activity is low. Three active regions (NOAA 12139, 12141 and 12144) are now classified as beta-gamma/D-type sunspot groups, but only 12139 and 12144 produced flares in the past 24 hours. The largest magnitude event in this period was a B8.4 flare from NOAA 12139 on 17-Aug-2014 at 00:10 UT. Further B-class activity is expected, with C-class flaring possible and a small chance for an isolated low M-class flare. The position of NOAA 12139 on 17-Aug-2014 at 12:30 UT is: N14W07, ( 111", 121" ) See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
