Subject: MM#009 Default HESSI Target Date: Fri, 22 Aug 2014 17:20:51 +0100 Dear RHESSI Collaborators, Solar activity is at a moderate level. Yesterday's target region has been designated as NOAA 12149. Since yesterday's message this region has continued to produce many C-class flares and an M1.2 flare (on 22-Aug-2014 at 06:18 UT). NOAA 12149 is classified as a beta/C-type sunspot group, but is still too close to the limb to be accurately determined. More C-class activity is expected over the next 24 hours, with a good chance for another M-class flare. The position of NOAA 12149 on 22-Aug-2014 at 16:30 UT is: N12E68, ( -861", 154" ) See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
