MM#009 Default HESSI Target
Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
NOAA 2268 produced an M1.4 event at 01/28/04:41 UT and a C9.8 event at 01/28/05:30 UT. 2268 is maintaining a large F-type sunspot group with a beta-gamma magnetic configuration. 2268 will remain the target for the next 24 hours. C-class events expected with the chance of another M-class event in the next 24 hour period. Old NOAA 2257 has completed east limb passage and has been named NOAA 2277. It is too close to the limb to ascertain its magnetic complexity but it has been displaying continuous bright surging. There is a separate large sunspot located on the limb just north of 2277.
The position of NOAA 2268 on January 28 at 11:45 UT is: S10E06 (Solar X = -101", Solar Y = -073")
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
