Subject: MM#009 Default HESSI Target Date: Mon, 2 Feb 2015 11:25:47 -0800 MM#009 Default HESSI Target Dear RHESSI Collaborators, Solar flare activity continues at a low level. Both NOAA 2268, S11W67, and target region 2277 were the source of C-class events in the past 24 hours. The largest was a C3.0 at 02/01/21:26 UT produced by 2268. 2268 is rapidly decaying especially within its trailing portion. 2277 is mostly unchanged maintaining a large F-type sunspot group with a weak beta-gamma magnetic configuration. C-class events probable with a slight chance of an isolated M-class event in the next 24 hours. The position of NOAA 2277 on February 02 at 16:35 UT is: N08E10 (Solar X = -168", Solar Y = 236") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
