Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
The target region near the southeast limb was the source of an M9.2 flare at 21:59 UT on 7-March-2015. The region is now designated as NOAA 12297 although its magnetic configuration is uncertain. At this time we are implementing a Major Flare Watch campaign due to the increased likelihood of another >M5 flare over the next 24-48 hours.
The position of NOAA 12297 on 7-Mar-2015 at 22:35 UT is:
S17E68, ( -858", -237" )
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
