Subject: MM#009 Default HESSI Target Date: Wed, 18 Mar 2015 15:33:24 +0000 Dear RHESSI Collaborators, Solar activity is at a moderate level. NOAA 12297 has decreased in number of spots over the previous 24 hours, while maintaining spot area and a beta-gamma-delta magnetic classification and increasing in modified Zurich class to an F-type sunspot group. This region has shown a decrease in flaring rate, but was still the source of the largest magnitude flare since yesterday’s message, an M1.0 on 17-Mar-2015 at 22:49 UT. Further low M-class activity is possible from 12297 as it rotates up to the South West limb. The position of NOAA 12297 on 18-Mar-2015 at 16:00 UT is: S16W73, ( 886”, -230” ) See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
