Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Solar activity is at a low level. The spots of NOAA 12297 have now rotated over the South West limb, but this region was classified as a beta-gamma/C-type sunspot group before completing limb transit. NOAA 12297 was the source of the largest event in the past 24 hours - a C7.9 flare on 20-Mar-2015 at 00:57 UT. More C-class activity is possible over the next 24 hours before the high-lying loops of NOAA 12297 rotate completely out of view.
The position of NOAA 12297 on 20-Mar-2015 at 22:00 UT is:
S17W90, ( 921”, -280” )
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
