Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Solar activity has been at very low levels since the last message, however, only an hour earlier today, there occurred a C5.2 X-ray event due to a filament eruption from the target region NOAA 12321, which was associated with a two-ribbon flare. There are still two small filaments across the region. 12321 maintains its E-type/beta-gamma classification, and keeps showing mixed polarities in both the leading and trailing portions. It continues to be today's target region, with additional low activity likely in the next 24 hours.
The position of NOAA 12321 on April 18 at 11:35 UT is:
N11W15 (Solar X = 243", Solar Y = 267")
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
