Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Solar activity has increased significantly in the last a few hours. Three low M-class events emanated from the solar disk, an M2.2 at 10:17 UT from the northeast limb (N16E80), and two occulted events (an M1.0 at 07:08 UT and an M2.2 at 11:49 UT) from NOAA 12322. NOAA 12322 has developed rapidly over the last 24 hours, though with a C-type/beta configuration and small spot area and count. Because of its activity history, we switch the target region to 12322 today. Additional occulted activity is likely in the next 24 hours.
The position of NOAA 12322 on April 21 at 11:35 UT is:
N11W78 (Solar X = 917", Solar Y = 198")
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
