Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Solar activity continues at a low level. NOAA 12339 has undergone further growth over the past 24 hours, increasing in both spot area and number of spots. 12339 has continued to maintain a beta-gamma/F-type sunspot group classification and is the most flare-productive region, being the source of 4 C-class events since yesterday’s message. The Major Flare Watch will continue for another 24 hours as the recent flux emergence indicates that this region retains the potential for another flare above the M5 level.
The position of NOAA 12339 on 9-May-2015 at 21:30 UT is:
N13E23, ( -365", 263" )
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
