MM#009 Default HESSI Target
Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
The most interesting solar activity since the last message was a filament eruption/two-ribbon flare with an associated C9.2 x-ray event at 05/13/18:18 UT. The filament was located just east of the trailing portion of NOAA 2339 at approximately N15W18. Target region 2339 continues to slowly decay but is maintaining its F-type/beta-gamma classification. C-class activity is probable with only a slight chance of an isolated M-class event in the next 24 hour period.
The position of NOAA 2339 on May 14 at 11:35 UT is: N13W41 (Solar X = 608", Solar Y = 247")
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
