MM#009 Default HESSI Target
Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Solar flare activity is at a very low level. The background x-ray flux is currently flat at the B5 level. NOAA 2339 is mostly unchanged and is now rotating over the west limb. A C-class event is possible in the next 24 hours. An isolated M-class event is unlikely.
The position of NOAA 2339 on May 17 at 11:35 UT is: N11W79 (Solar X = 914", Solar Y = 188")
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
