Subject: MM#009 Default HESSI Target Date: Fri, 24 Jul 2015 12:19:52 +0100 Dear RHESSI Collaborators, Solar activity is at a low level. NOAA 12387 has decayed more over the past 24 hours, decreasing significantly in spot area and number of spots. A new (currently unnumbered) region has rotated over the South East limb within the past 24 hours, and produced the largest flare in the past 24 hours - a C1.0 on 24-Jul-2015 at 03:07 UT. This region remains too close to the limb to determine an accurate classification, but seems to be at least beta magnetic complexity. B-class activity is expected over the next 24-hour period, with a good chance for more C-class flaring. The approximate position of this region on 24-Jul-2015 at 11:30 UT is: S12E70, ( -869", -224" ) See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
