Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Solar activity remains at a moderate level. The largest event in the past 24 hours was an M3.5 at 08/22/21:19 UT produced by the target region NOAA 12403. 12403 was also the source of 8 C-class flares. 12403 is now classified as a beta-gamma-delta/E-type sunspot group, with increasing in sunspot area and number of spots slightly. It still has the potential to produce an isolated low M-class activity in the next 24 hours.
The position of NOAA 12403 on August 23 at 14:35 UT is:
S14W00 (Solar X = 0”, Solar Y = -340")
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
