MM#003 Major Flare Watch
Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
NOAA 2403 continues to slowly decay but is maintaining its F-type/beta-gamma-delta classification. There are small opposite polarity flux elements located within both the large leading and following spot penumbrae. 2403 was only able to produce numerous C- and B-class events since the last message. The largest was a C9.5 at 08/26/13:53 UT. Although 2403 is currently losing its magnetic complexity somewhat, we will continue the MM#003 observing plan for another 24 hours. There is still a slight chance of an event =/>M5.
The position of NOAA 2304 on August 26 at 12:30 UT is: S15W38 (Solar X = 566", Solar Y = -333")
