Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Solar activity remains at low levels. The largest event in the past 24 hours was a C1.7 limb flare at 09/03/11:28 UT produced by the target region NOAA 12407. There occurred a CME at ~09/02/14:30 UT (its source region seems beyond the northwestern limb, and has nothing to do with the C1.7 flare). We will watch NOAA 12407 for one more day before it completely rotates over the west limb. Additional occulted C-class activity might be possible.
The position of NOAA 12407 on September 3 at 12:30 UT is:
N17W91 (Solar X = 909", Solar Y = 277")
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
