Subject: MM#009 Default HESSI Target Date: Mon, 28 Dec 2015 11:52:56 -0800 MM#009 Default HESSI Target Dear RHESSI Collaborators, Target region NOAA 2473 was the source of an isolated long-duration M1.9 event at 12/28/12:45 UT. The M-class x-ray event was associated with a large double-ribbon flare and eruptive filament. 2473 also produced a few C-class events since the last message. 2473 is maintaining its large F-type/beta-delta sunspot group. Another M-class event is possible in the next 48 hours with C-class events probable. The position of NOAA 2473 on December 28 at 15:35 UT is: S22W14 (Solar X = 219", Solar Y = -327") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
