The level of solar activity remains extremely low. NOAA 12480 has now rotated over the North West limb. NOAA 12486 has remained stable over the past 24 hours, but a small set of bipolar spots has developed to the North of 12486. Quiet-Sun conditions are expected to continue in the next 24 hours.
The position of NOAA 12486 on 19-Jan-2016 at 11:30 UT is:
S20E47, ( -669", -279" )
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
