Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity continues at a high level. The Major Flare Watch region NOAA 13615 produced an M7.4 flare at 07:23 UT today plus an M2.1 flare at 23:17 UT yesterday. It also produced five C-class flares. This region retains a beta-gamma/E-type configuration but increases in both the sunspot area and number of spots. Further low M-class flares are expected with a chance of an additional major flare (>M5) in the next 24-48 hours. The position of NOAA 13615 on March 20 at 08:30 UT is: S12E43 (-644", -114") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
