In regards to JOP 113 pointing for Monday, 25-oct:

Jake, we like your idea about TRACE choosing the target for Monday and then SXT following it. Our monday upload is at 05:05 UT, 25-oct, and so at that time SXT will move to acquire whichever bright region TRACE announces. Please send your target announcement to sxt_co@isass0.solar.isas.ac.jp as soon as it is decided.

Following that, we assume that SXT will take over the selection of targets for the next few days, as we've been doing. Is this your understanding as well? How has this been working out, in your view?

As for the Saturday/Sunday automatically-targeted observations, I'd predict that the northwest complex, 8737, and 8739 will be the three brightest target regions, and therefore the SXT images will be primarily pointed at the northwest complex. The other regions may get some attention too, if they brighten; as the northwest complex rotates beyond the limb I'd expect 8737/8739 to draw more images.

        Cheers,
