Subject: Flare Genesis Update

Of course all the flares are taking place in AR 8824, not our Target 1 region, AR8821. But AR 8821 still has potential and we plan to stay on it until 0314 UT Jan 13.     All our systems are working well, but we no longer have line of sight contact, i.e., no real time data and only occasional opportunities to send commands. Starting at 0314 Jan 13 we plan to spend one day on a sigmoid/filament region. The Kitt Peak Helium 10830 image at 1818 UT Jan 11, shows a sinuous filament at S13 E04. That will be the target for 24 hours.     As of 0314 UT Jan 14 we plan to switch to AR 8824 which was at S12E50 at 1906 UT on Jan 11.
