Subject: Flare Genesis flight will terminate soon

Some updates on the Flare Genesis Experiment status:

On January 26 at about 16:00 UT we regained line of sight contact with the payload. We now have full telemetry and complete control on all the systems. FGE seemed to be in good helalth and an inspection with the live video images from the telescope showed that it was properly pointing at the middle of the active region 3344. We will continue to observe the same region until flight termination.

The flight termination is scheduled to be at ~ 05:30 UT on January 27.

I will keep you informed if for some reason, mostly related to weather conditions, the termination will be delayed. I will also let you know by how long the termintion will be posponed.
