Subject: MEOC Campaign Target

To MEOC participants,

The current MEOC campaign target remains the best one; it consists of NOAA 9213 and at least part or all of NOAA 9218 for those telescopes with a limited field-of-view. We anticipate continuing on this target for at least two more days because it is possible and interesting to observe flare-wave events near the limb.

The MEOC target produced an M1.6 flare on 7 Nov. (11:55-12:20, maximum at 12:03 UT). The flare center was located at N06W54. Any association with waves will only be know later from reports by the observatories which recorded the event.

The heliographic co-ordinates for 8 Nov. 2000 at 00:00 UT are: N08W58 or X=815",Y=130"

Regards,

Sara Martin, Peter Gallagher (BBSO), Michael Steinegger (BBSO), and Bill Marquette
