Subject: Major Flare Watch 

Dear Colleges,

At this time, we are implimenting MM#003 (Region Likely to Produce a Major Flare). The region, which is a compact delta group, produced an X2.6 at 10:38 UT together with a CME and associated >10MeV proton event. The current configuration suggests further M- and X-class activity will follow.

The position of NOAA 9632 on 24-Sep-2001 17:00 UT:

S18 E22, (-340",-395")
