Subject: Sigmoid Target of Opportunity (MM OP#011)

Please observe the target,

NOAA AR: 9684 Heliographic coordinates: N5W15 epoch 4-NOV-01 Angular coordinates: [250, 21] epoch 4-NOV-01

following MM OP#011 [Eruptive Flares Associated with Sigmoids (TOO)] until further notice. This target superceeds the target identified in the previous MMmotd message. The SXT_CO will send out a daily reminder message of this target until it is no longer appopriate for observation, at which time we will send a message to cancel this Target of Opportunity (TOO) campaign.

An X1.0 flare was reported in this region on 4-Nov around 16:00UT. Unless some region that is much more important comes onto the disk, please follow this region to the limb, even though sigmoidal structure is not visible in the Yohkoh images. We need observations of erupting sigmoids at the limb!
