Date: Wed, 7 Nov 2001 16:59:32 +0900 From: SXT Chief Observer <sxt_co@isass0.solar.isas.ac.jp> Subject: Sigmoid alert
Please observe the target,
NOAA AR: 9684 Heliographic coordinates: N7W40 epoch 6-NOV-01 00:00 UT Angular coordinates: [618, 71] epoch 6-NOV-01 00:00 UT
following MM OP#011 [Eruptive Flares Associated with Sigmoids (TOO)] until further notice. This target supersedes the target identified in the previous MMmotd message. The SXT_CO will send out a daily reminder message of this target until it is no longer appopriate for observation, at which time we will send a message to cancel this Target of Opportunity (TOO) campaign.
Please note that there's another good-looking sigmoidal region near central meridian at about S 20 (NOAA 9687). But our first choice is nearing the limb, where an eruption would be interesting to watch.
