Dear HESSI collaborators,

The beta-gamma-delta region NOAA 9773 continues in growth phase. The delta configuration in the trailer portion has become more pronounced as have the magnetic gradients across the inversion line of the delta. The region produced an M1.6 at 11:13 UT and an M9.5 at 18:01 UT yesterday: further C- and M-class events expected with a good chance for an X.

The position of NOAA 9773 on 10-Jan-2002 13:00 UT is:

N14W13, ( 213", 302" )

See www.bbso.njit.edu/arm/latest/9773.html for further details.

Peter Gallagher and Bill Marquette, Emergent IT/NASA GSFC and BBSO/NJIT.
