Dear HESSI collaborators,
NOAA 9775 produced an impulsive M1.5 at 10:13 UT today and appears to have maintained a delta configuration in its leader spot. Interestingly, the region may also be connected to NOAA 9773 by a set of coronal loops visible in SOHO/EIT 19.5 nm images. Further C- and M-class events expected.
The position of NOAA 9775 on 16-Jan-2002 14:00 UT is:
S06W77, ( 946", -83" )
See www.bbso.njit.edu/arm/latest/9775.html for further details.

Peter Gallagher and Bill Marquette, Emergent IT/NASA GSFC and BBSO/NJIT.
