Dear HESSI collaborators,

Solar activity is again on the decrease, with the active region complex consisting of NOAA 9816 and 9802 now on the south-west limb. There is also a large set of bright coronal loops on the north-east limb which we will continue to monitor. Low level activity expected.

The position of NOAA 9816 on 8-Feb-2002 14:00 UT is:

S11 W78, ( 934", -162" )

See www.bbso.njit.edu/arm/latest/9816.html for further details.

Regards,

Peter Gallagher, Emergent IT/NASA GSFC.
