Subject: MM#009 Default HESSI Target

Dear RHESSI collaborators,

Target region, NOAA 9906, produced a major limb flare (a long-duration X1 proton flare at 04/21/01:51 UT). A very fast CME was associated with the flare. Another limb event is possible until 9906 rotates completly beyond the SW limb and out of view in about 24 hours.

The position of NOAA 9906 on April 22 at 00:00 UT: S14W91 (Solar X = 926", Solar Y = -231")

See www.bbso.njit.edu/arm/latest and www.lmsal.com/solarsoft/last_events for images and further details.
