Dear RHESSI collaborators,

The now naked-eye sunspot group, NOAA 0030, has continued to grow in photospheric area, currently having an area of ~1350 millions of the solar hemisphere. The region has maintained several delta configurations and has produced numerous events, including an M8.5 at ~07:00 UT today. Further C- and M-class events expected with a good chance for another X.

The position of NOAA 0030 on 17-Jul-2002 12:00 UT is:

N19W19, ( 291", 240" )

See www.bbso.njit.edu/arm/latest/0030.html for images and solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.

Regards,
