Dear RHESSI collaborators,

NOAA 0338 has shown significant rearrangement (flux emergence/submergence) in the photosphere, and now contains four delta configurations. A new region, NOAA 0342, has also emerged within ~100" of NOAA 0338, which could result in increased activity from either region. This complex has produced a number of C- and M-class flares over the past days, and is expected to continue at a similar activity level.

The position of NOAA 0338 on 25-Apr-2003 13:00 UT is:

N18W53, ( 726", 339" )

See www.bbso.njit.edu/arm/latest/0338.html for images and solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.

Regards,

Peter Gallagher, L-3 Com EER Systems/NASA GSFC.
