Subject: MM#003 Major Flare Watch

Dear RHESSI collaborators,

The dynamic duo of NOAA 0484 and 0486 continue to retain the potential to produce major flares. There were two X-class events yesterday, one at 06:54 UT from 0486 and the other at 18:19 from 0484. NOAA 0484 has increased its magnetic complexity displaying a very tight delta configuration and, at this time, might be the most interesting target, but since this message is late and observing plans have been prepared to watch 0486, we will stay with it. NOAA 0486 is still very complex with the potential to generate another X-class event. 0486 produced an M5.0 at 10/27/09:27 and an M6.7 at 10/27/12:43 UT.

The position of NOAA 0486 on October 27 at 17:00 UT: S15E21 (Solar X = -335", Solar Y = -323")
