Subject: MM#003 Major Flare Watch 

Dear RHESSI collaborators,

Target region, NOAA 0486, produced a very large event, an X17 event at 10/28/11:10 UT. This is one of the largest flares of solar cycle 23. A very large CME was associated with this event. 0486 is capable of producing additional major flares.

The position of NOAA 0486 on October 28 at 16:00 UT: S16E09 (Solar X = -145", Solar Y = -342")
