Subject: MM#003 Major Flare Watch

Dear RHESSI collaborators,

There has been great coverage by Sac Peak, LASCO, and the last events pages (http://www.lmsal.com/solarsoft/last_events) warning us of the return of still active NOAA 0484. The region is now on the visible disk and although too close to the east limb to ascertain its magnetic complexity, it appears to be a beta-gamma-delta configuration. The region has produced several C-class events and two M-class events (M1.6 at 11/13/05:01 and M1.4 at 11/13/09:29 UT). C- and M-class events expected with the chance of a major flare as well. The Major Flare Watch cancels out the last day of the MM#016 OP.

The position of the MM003 target on November 13 at 14:00 UT: N04E85 (Solar X = -964, Solar Y = 063")

See http://beauty.nascom.nasa.gov/arm/latest and http://www.lmsal.com/solarsoft/last_events for images and additional information and go to http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
