Subject: MM#009 Default HESSI Target

Dear RHESSI collaborators,

NOAA 0537 has been associated with three M-class flares and a number of CMEs over the past two days. The region is a compact, asymmetric region, which appears to contain a strong delta configuration in its interior. Further C- and M-class events expected, with a chance for an X.

The position of NOAA 0537 on 8-Jan-2004 14:00 UT is:

N05E56, ( -808", 121" )

See http://beauty.nascom.nasa.gov/arm/latest/0537.html for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.

Regards,

Peter Gallagher, L-3 Communications/NASA GSFC.
