Dear RHESSI collaborators,

The beta-gamma region, NOAA 0540, continues to evolve slowly. There have been a number of small-scale flux emergences in its leading and central portions, in addition to some growth in the main trailing spot. Further low-level activity expected, with a chance for an isolated intermediate-level event.

The position of NOAA 0540 on 17-Jan-2004 13:00 UT is:

S13E20, ( -326", -145" )

See http://beauty.nascom.nasa.gov/arm/latest/0540.html for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.

Regards,

Peter Gallagher, L-3 Communications/NASA GSFC.
