Subject: MM#009 Default HESSI Target

Dear RHESSI collaborators,

All four regions on the Sun (NOAA 0540, 0542, 0543, 0544) are now in decay. NOAA 0542 is the brightest region in SXI X-ray images, and has produced a number of very low-level events. Further low-level activity expected.

The position of NOAA 0542 on 23-Jan-2004 14:30 UT is:

N10W38, ( 593", 239" )

See http://beauty.nascom.nasa.gov/arm/latest/0542.html for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.

Regards,

Peter Gallagher, L-3 Communications/NASA GSFC.
