Dear RHESSI collaborators,

Region NOAA 0656 is now at the south-west limb, and has continued to provide the majority of solar activity. Several intermediate-level events were observed to emanate from this region over the last 24 hours, including an M2.4 flare at 17-Aug-2004 19:26 UT. Low- to intermediate-level events expected with a good chance for an X-class flare.

The position of NOAA 0656 on 18-Aug-2004 13:00 UT is:

S14W84, ( 916", -239" )

See http://beauty.nascom.nasa.gov/arm/latest/0656.html for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
