Subject: Major Flare Watch
Date: Sat, 10 Sep 2005 11:34:30 -0700

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,

NOAA 0808 continues to be a very flare productive
region. There were two significant events since the last
message - a long duration X6.2/2b proton event
at 09/09/20:04 UT. This large flare was associated
with moderate Type II and strong Type IV radio
sweeps. The other event was an X1.1 at 09/10/16:43 UT.
0808 maintains its compact and very complex
beta-gamma-delta magnetic configuration. The region
has Hal Zirin's "Island Delta" (in this case an island of
negative polarity surrounded by positive polarity).
Additional major flares expected.

The position of Super Region NOAA 0808 on Sept. 10 at 17:30 UT:
S09E44 (Solar X = -656", Solar Y = -234")
