Subject: MM#009 Default HESSI Target
Date: Sat, 25 Feb 2006 11:23:43 -0800

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,

Solar activity is at a very low level. Solar minimum conditions prevail. The visible solar disk is spotless again today. The background GOES X-ray flux is steady at the A3 level. The SW limb target has rotated over the limb. The new target will be a region just beyond the SE limb at S09 degrees (possible return of old NOAA 0853). This region was the source of an A3.6 event today.

The position of the SE limb region on February 25 at 18:00 UT: S09E89 (Solar X = -957", Solar Y = -148")

See http://www.solarmonitor.org/ for images and additional information and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
