Dear RHESSI collaborators,

A new region has emerged near the central meridian in the northern hemisphere. Due to its rapid grown, it will be monitored closely for any increases in magnetic complexity or flaring activity. Although NOAA 10875 has now decayed to a beta region, it remains the most active sunspot group currently visible on the disk. Further low-level activity expected, with a small chance for an M.

The position of NOAA 10875 on 3-May-2006 08:30 UT is:

S12W52, ( 735", -158" )

See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.

Regards,

Peter Gallagher, Trinity College Dublin.
