Subject: MM#009 Default HESSI Target

Dear RHESSI collaborators,

Solar activity is low. The area of bright EUV/X-ray emission to the southeast has now rotated onto the disk, and does not contain a significant concentration of sunspots. The largest and most complex region on the disk is therefore NOAA 10901, which is classified as a beta region. Low level activity is possible from this region.

The position of NOAA 10901 on 26-Jul-2006 06:30 UT is:

N06E24, ( -383", 18" )

See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.

Regards,

Peter Gallagher, Trinity College Dublin.
