Subject: MM#009 Default HESSI Target
Date: Sat, 5 Aug 2006 11:54:52 -0400 (EDT)

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,

Solar activity continues at very low levels. The visible disk is spotless. The background X-ray flux is below the A1 level. The trailing polarity of the spotless plage remnant located near disk center was the source of an A2.1 event 13:25 UT today. The target region, NOAA 0901, has rotated from view. The new target will be NOAA 0902 located just beyond the west limb at S10. Only minor events expected. There is a tiny EFR located at N13E41.

The position of NOAA 0902 on August 05 at 14:00 UT: S10W91 (Solar X = -935", Solar Y = -167")

See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
