Dear RHESSI Collaborators,

There has been significant penumbral growth along the southern boundary of NOAA 10930 in the past 24-hours. The region, which is still classified as a beta-gamma-delta region, is now highly asymmetric and is expected to produce intermediate-level activity, with a chance for an X.

The position of NOAA 10930 on 12-Dec-2006 08:00 UT is:

S05W12, ( 202", -76" )

See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
