Dear RHESSI Collaborators,

Solar activity has increased slightly with a B1.2 event at 08/22/11:35 UT. The most likely source is our new target region, NOAA 0969, which rotated over the SE limb yesterday. NOAA 0969 has a simple magnetic configuration with a single leader sunspot. Additional low-level events expected.

The position of NOAA 0969 on August 22 at 13:00 UT: S06E65 (Solar X = -856", Solar Y = -146")

See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
