Subject: MM#009 Default HESSI Target
Date: Fri, 22 May 2009 10:33:25 -0400

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,

Solar activity remains quiet with NOAA 1017 now behind the limb. The new target will be the old cycle active region along the southern central meridian. The region has developed an extended filament channel along its neutral line which may have some associated activity if it erupts.

The approximate position of the filament on 22-May-2009 13:30 UT is:

S15W06, ( 98", -218" )

See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
