Dear RHESSI Collaborators,

Quiet Sun conditions prevail. The old cycle region close to disk center continues to decay. A compact bipolar Cycle 24 region has emerged in the southern hemisphere which may produce some low-level activity.

The position of the new cycle region on 23-May-2009 12:30 UT is:

S32E43, ( -546", -486" )

See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
