Date: Wed, 23 Sep 2009 10:14:31 -0400

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,

Solar activity has increased with the emergence of a second bipolar active region in the northern hemisphere, designated NOAA 1027. The target region in the southern hemisphere, NOAA 1026, has been the source of two B-class and several A-level flares over the past 24 hours. Further low-level activity expected with chance for an isolated C-class.

The position of NOAA 1026 on 23-Sep-2009 14:00 UT is:

S30E46, ( -597", -546" )

See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
