Date: Sun, 10 Jan 2010 09:56:56 -0500

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,

The target region NOAA 1040 was the source of several B-class events since the last message as well as a C1.0 flare at 14:50 UT. The region has increased considerably in terms of sunspot area due to newly emerging flux. Continued B-level activity expected with good chance of another C-class.

The position of NOAA 1040 on 10-Jan-2010 at 14:00 UT is:

N30E27, ( -384", 542" )

See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
